As busy people, we often forget to stop, reflect and enjoy the achievements we have in our business and personal lives. But with the celebration of Brendan and Amanda’s nuptials last weekend (see below), and with Keep Wealth recently ticking over our two-year anniversary, this seems a good time to contemplate our journey so far and look back at a few of the highlights:
- We’re growing a successful independent financial firm
When we established the business, our principle aims were twofold:
- to help busy professionals and entrepreneurs to reach financial independence; and
- help those who had already obtained financial freedom to manage their wealth in a way that improved their lives and the lives of those around them.
Through providing great care and attention for our clients we’ve built a business which has grown strongly over the last two years. Hopefully, with constant emphasis on helping our clients achieve their goals, this growth will continue.
We take great pleasure in getting to know each client and working alongside them on their journey. Some of our clients are now old friends with whom we have celebrated birthdays and special anniversaries. Others are new friends that we will enjoy celebrating with in the years to come. We thank all our wonderful clients (both new and old), referrers and friends who have supported our business so far.
- We’ve been unaffected by the Royal Commission
It seems odd that we have to put this in as an achievement, but such is the scandal surrounding large swathes of our industry it would be remiss of us not to point out that we set up Keep Wealth to be free from the conflicts that have plagued many others. We wrote extensively about the Royal Commission here and here.
- We’ve been shortlisted as finalists in the IFA Excellence Awards
Speaking of being free from conflicts, it’s good to have been recognised (both in 2018 and 2019) as a leader in independent and client centric advice.
- We moved into our own office
Yes, we’re still furnishing it, and yes, we’re still unsure about what pictures to put up on the wall, but having a permanent home where we can swing a cat and welcome our clients is real affirmation of our successful start and ongoing belief in our business.
- We undertook our first community sponsorship
- The wider Keep family has grown
Finally, and most importantly, we couldn’t run Keep Wealth without the full support of our families; they are very much a part of our business journey and the main reason we started Keep Wealth.
We always said we would celebrate our successes together, so we were delighted to join Brendan and Amanda, their (actual) families and close friends to celebrate their nuptials in the Yarra Valley last weekend.
Not that Amanda is new to the Keep family – Brendan has been wooing her since before we opened our doors – but it’s wonderful they’ve cemented their relationship, and having such a brilliant and charming person (Amanda, not you Brendan) is a fantastic addition.
You know it’s been a great day when you forget to take photos yourself and must rely on the photo booth one. But I did manage to procure the one below too – much nicer – look how happy they are.
